Community Services

Edmonton John Howard Society community services are designed to meet the unique needs of people impacted by crime or at risk for criminal behaviour. With the exception of our Anger Management Course, community services are voluntary and available to anyone who needs them.

Anger Management Course

Available to clients referred by the Provincial Justice System, including Courts and Community Corrections. Includes facilitated group discussion on issues such as defining anger, communicating anger effectively in relationships and learning to manage ange

Youth Program/ REE*START

A support and life skills program for youth, 15-22 years of age, who are self referred or referred by a family member of service agency.

Family Violence Prevention Centre

The Centre works to meet the needs of a diverse community.  It provides information on family violence, options, and ongoing support to people impacted by family violence.  All services are delivered by professional staff that are trained and experienced in delivering family violence services. 

Intake & Employment Services

Services and referrals to community resources for offenders, ex-offenders, persons at risk, families of offenders, and other persons affected by crime.
