Researcher / Web Curriculum Developer
Public Legal Education Program
Edmonton John Howard Society (EJHS) is a community based not for profit crime prevention agency. The program develops, markets, delivers, and evaluates school and community based education programs in the greater Edmonton area.
The Researcher/ Web Curriculum Developer is responsible for the researching, developing, marketing, and evaluating web based legal education curriculum and resources. The Developer serves as an online communication resource for teachers and community agencies. This position will appeal to independent, highly motivated individuals who work well with minimum supervision.
Annual Salary $40,000 - $43,000, plus a competitive benefits package.
Qualifications
- Completed or currently working toward Degree or Diploma in a related Educational field
- Strong program development, curriculum development and research skills
- Experience with web site development, including content development using a variety of web-authoring software
- Practical understanding of web standards, usability and design issues, as well as acceptable use and copyright issues
- Demonstrated experience in the creation of online communication programs and materials
- Strong writing skills for both traditional and new media
- Knowledge of community resources and community issues
- First Aid, Criminal Record Check, and Child Welfare Record Check are required
- Adhere to the core values, beliefs, policies of the Edmonton John Howard Society
