Volunteer Opportunities Available:

  • Leisure / Recreation Assistants
  • Tutors
  • Court Support Workers
  • Administrative Support
  • Special Events

*The agency offers a range of volunteer opportunities; however, placement in a program depends on the needs and capacity of the program at that time.

Qualifications:

  • Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to maintain professional relationships with clients
  • Reliable and punctual with a proven ability to follow through on commitment
  • Positive outlook as Mentor or Tutor
  • Willing to commit a minimum or 1 year

Application and Screening Process:

  • Completed EJHS application
  • Current resume
  • Two interviews
  • Reference checks
  • Criminal record check
  • Child welfare information check

Training:

  • Comprehensive and ongoing trainin to help in your role.
  • Training varies from one to five days depending upon the program
